HALDEN — The House

Founded MMXXIParis

Make less. Make it better. Make it last.

The idea

HALDEN began as a refusal: of the calendar, of the discount, of the coat you wear twice and forget.

We release one collection a year, sometimes two garments in it. We don't chase the season; we try to sit outside it entirely. If a piece can't be worn in ten years, we don't make it.

There is no growth target here that would ask us to make something we don't believe in. That is the whole business plan.

A lone figure in the HALDEN campaign, dwarfed by a concrete hall.

A note

“I wanted to make the coat I keep looking for and never find, the one you own for years and only love more. So I made two, and stopped there.”
